John Martyn was one of the main influences on Alans musical style and over the years Alan has played some of Johns tunes live and for his own enjoyment. Since Johns death in January Alan has played a John Martyn tribute on Celtic Music Radio and a number of live events. With the release of Alans latest album " Could've Been Good" he is mixing the show with a first half of his own material and a second half of Johns classics such as Solid Air, Big Muff, Hurt In Your Heart, and The Jelly Roll Baker. Not to mention May You Never.
